We’re excited to have you here!
5-1-7 Youth Cheerleading is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and growing junior high and middle school competitive cheer across Michigan. We provide a structured league where teams compete with one another, creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to perform, learn, and grow in a team-based environment.
We operate as an entity that enables teams—rather than individual participants—to compete in MHSAA Junior High/Middle School Competitive Cheer and spring USA Cheer STUNT, expanding access and opportunities for athletes to participate in organized, team-based competition.
Serving youth throughout the state, we are committed to fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness while helping athletes build skill, confidence, and a strong foundation in competitive cheer and STUNT. Our league is designed for 3rd through 6th-grade athletes as an introduction to Michigan Competitive Cheer and STUNT using modified MHSAA-based rules to ensure a safe, age-appropriate, and development-focused experience.
At 5-1-7, we believe in learning first. While teams do compete, our focus is on growth, skill development, and preparing athletes for future success at the middle and high school levels. We are proud to support the next generation of cheerleaders and look forward to watching them shine—both on and off the mat!
2026 Fall Updates
We are SO excited for an incredible 2026 season! This fall is packed with exciting opportunities, big competition energy, and plenty of reasons to celebrate our amazing athletes and coaches!
We’re thrilled to be attending the 2026 CCCAM Coaches Conference, where we’ll be connecting with coaches and sharing exciting opportunities to get involved in our Spring STUNT League. We’ll also be talking about how teams can join our competitive cheer league next fall, including opportunities to compete, grow, and be part of our expanding cheer community. We can’t wait to connect with coaches who are ready to take their programs to the next level!
And that’s just the beginning! Our competition season will feature FIVE action-packed weeks, with FOUR competition locations each week and TWO exciting locations for Finals!
With 61 teams and more than 1,000 athletes taking the floor, this is going to be a season to remember! We can’t wait to watch these talented athletes shine, showcase their hard work, and cheer each other on every step of the way.
