5-1-7 Youth Cheerleading is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and growing junior high and middle school competitive cheer across Michigan. We provide a structured league where teams compete with one another, creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to perform, learn, and grow in a team-based environment.

We operate as an entity that enables teams—rather than individual participants—to compete in MHSAA Junior High/Middle School Competitive Cheer and spring USA Cheer STUNT, expanding access and opportunities for athletes to participate in organized, team-based competition.

Serving youth throughout the state, we are committed to fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness while helping athletes build skill, confidence, and a strong foundation in competitive cheer and STUNT. Our league is designed for 3rd through 6th-grade athletes as an introduction to Michigan Competitive Cheer and STUNT using modified MHSAA-based rules to ensure a safe, age-appropriate, and development-focused experience.

At 5-1-7, we believe in learning first. While teams do compete, our focus is on growth, skill development, and preparing athletes for future success at the middle and high school levels. We are proud to support the next generation of cheerleaders and look forward to watching them shine—both on and off the mat!
